Monday
On Monday, campers learned about the responsibilities of a doctor. They made doctor coats and thought about the tools doctors needed. They also made life-sized cut outs of their bodies, and drew in their nervous system.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, campers studied the human heart and the circulatory system, They considered ways to keep your heart healthy, and also paid close attention to what causes heart rate to increase and decrease. They made clay models of hearts. Senior campers made skeletos!
Wednesday
On Wednesday, campers explored how lungs impact the human body. They made lung models out of balloons, and also watched how their bodies expand and contract during breathing exercises.
Thursday
On Thursday, campers learned about intestines! They got to "feel" intestines (aka cooked pasta in oil), and tried to squeeze food through the intestines (squeezing cotton balls through a bag of said pasta). Campers also participated in life sized operation!!
Friday
On Friday, campers reviewed all they know about the human body! Juniors enjoyed another lung project, while the seniors played another round of giant operation. Campers also enjoyed the rain & sprinklers!!
