Monday Today we talked about what are the different aspects of weather. We touched on some keywords like humidity, condensation, and evaporation. We were all enraptured by our cloud/rain in a jar experiment.  Tuesday Cloud day!!!!! We learned the different cloud names, how to identify them, and what these clouds can tell us about the weather. We had so much fun with our shaving cream cloud experiments and we made cloud scapes.  Wednesday This is the day that all the campers had been eagerly await... natural disaster day.  We constructed and erupted volcanos and learned about volcanic eruptions, tsunamis, hurricanes, and tornados.      Thursday This was a great day to discuss the different careers that you have related to weather. We brainstormed an impressive list and then got to work scripting our own weather forecasts. Using imagination, props, costumes and our newfound weather knowledge, our campers filmed their forecasts.  Friday The kids finished up the week with a weather mural a

Monday Monday's medium of the day was clay. Though the most basic of our art mediums this week, clay is tried and true for a reason. The kids had so much fun sculpting. As a bonus, clay is such a fun sensory experience.  Tuesday Tuesday the medium of the day was trash/recycling. In interviewing DaVinci campers, many say this was the favorite day to sculpt.  Wednesday  Wednesday medium of the day was food. This was a wacky day for sure. Due to the perishable nature of these sculptures, none were able to make it to the art gallery on Friday. Here are some pictures! Thursday  Thursday medium of the day was loose parts. Thank you to all the families that brought in some old treasures. What an enhancement to these wonderful sculptures.  Friday Today was our big Art Show. All families were invited to the gallery to view and even bring home some amazing pieces made by the talented, refined, and renown DaVinci Campers!  

Monday  We spent our day making lab coats, designing a vets office, and listening to our guest speaker, Sparks Ark, present his exotic animals.  Tuesday An amazing mom came in with a fantastic presentation about dog agility and training. She talked about training service animals and the children loved it (shout out to Karen)!! The children also made their own human agility courses which was adorable.  Wednesday A vet came to talk about how a vet check up at a vet's office works and passed out some check up sheets for the kids to use on their stuffed animals as practice. Then a sweet black lab came in and all the kids got to take her heart beat with a real stethoscope. Our pet visits in the afternoon were extra special when we got to meet two ponies (one miniature pony named Taco and one pony named Squid) and a turkey named Sweat Pea.  Thursday Charlie's Friends doggie daycare and training came in to show the children some dog tricks and learn dog body language.
