On Monday campers designed and made their own lab coats, set up a vet's office, and had a visit from Sparks Ark! Campers also enjoyed building in the woods at recess.
On Tuesday, campers learned about animal shelters and made braided dog toys to donate!
They also received a special visit from Maple and got to check her heartbeat!
Campers loved playing pet office throughout the day!
Wednesday was all about dogs!
Today, campers learned about different dog breeds and what makes each of them special. They got to design their dream dog with all their favorite attributes and then made balloon puppies!
Later on, we watched dog agility competitions and used it as inspiration to create our own! Juniors created agility courses for their stuffed animals and the seniors worked on one for a real dog agility demonstration!
On Thursday, we learned about farm animals! We even had some chickens and roosters come to visit! We also learned about pet grooming and did some dramatic play at the pet salon!
Friday was a jam packed day full of more pet visits, a visit from a police dog, sprinkler fun, and a special presentation about a local horse shelter!
