On Monday, the Juniors made magical wands in the morning. In the afternoon, they decided who their magical personas were and made their personas out of cardboard boxes. The seniors learned about the cycle of the moon.

On Tuesday, the Seniors learned all about their horoscope and made cardboard box models of their zodiac signs. The Juniors learns all about potions and spells. They made potions. Both classes completed "Magic Milk" and "Dancing Rice Experiments."

Wednesday
On Wednesday, the Junior campers had a rock-tastic day! They made Pet rock "familiars," which are magical sidekicks. In the morning they received their rocks and made them homes and midday they painted them. In the afternoon, the group made magical oil pastel paintings. The seniors learned all about chakras and painted rocks that were chakras-colors.

The magician came today! The Great Stephan performed for both classes in the morning. In the afternoon, both classes prepared for their DaVinci Magic Show.

In the morning, both classes performed their magic show for one another. In the afternoon, it was sprinkler time!
WEEK AT THE SANDY SPA ON COUSIN'S ISLAND DaVinci's Spa week is all about health beauty and science. We talk about healthy diets, exercise, products, and friendships. Here were some highlights of our week! Spa Products One of our big focuses at the sandy spa is that it is so important to know what you are putting on your body. Organic can be expensive and sometimes misleading. We made all sorts of spa products this week: Sugar Lip Scrub Avocado Face Masks Foot Scrub Hand Sanitizer Goat Soap Bath-bombs Almost every product we made contained ingredients that are most likely already in your pantry. Dear Families, Eccentric Artists enjoyed a variety of quirky crafts this week. Be sure to keep scrolling to see all the activities your camper enjoyed. Overview of the Week 3D art: campers represented an animal or person in three ways: tinfoil, clay, and cardboard. Jewelry: artists made friendship bracelets, pins, and also enjoyed "jewelry stations," where they were invited to assemble a variety of jewelry types. Dear Deep Sea Explorers, It was a fin-tastic week at camp! 🐟 🐠 Campers explored the zones of the ocean with a variety of interactive crafts, a field trip, and a live lobster visit. Camp Highlights Ocean folders: Students created interactive folders that teach about the three primary ocean zones: sunlight, twilight, and midnight. Across the week, they learned about the types of animals and plants that live in each zone. Lobsters: campers enjoyed a live lobster visit and learned about the important role lobsters play in Main's economy and ecosystem. Field trip: campers spent Thursday at Wolfe's Neck, engaging in a beach scavenger hunt and a hearing a talk from a local scuba-diver.
