Eco Explorers

Welcome, Environmentalists! It has been a busy week of field trips and fun here at Eco Explorers.  Monday On Monday, a guest speaker from EcoMaine came and spoke to the campers. The campers also made reusable bags. Tuesday On Tuesday, we went on a field trip to the Town Landing! Wednesday On Wednesday, the campers took a nature walk around Falmouth. Thursday On Thursday, we had our much-anticipated trip to Toot's Ice Cream to eat ice cream and visit with the animals.  Friday It was the last day of the 2019 camp season, and we celebrated with sprinklers, ice cream, face painting, and more!

Emergency Vet Camp

Welcome, Veterinarians! We have had some busy veterinarians this week at "Emergency Vet" Camp.  Monday In the morning, the campers made watercolors of cats and dogs to decorate the room. Midday, they learned all about the vet's office that is in the back of their classrooms. We had our first round of animal visits at the end of the day.  Tuesday The campers made clay animals and habitats for their new clay pets. Sparks Ark came to visit! In the afternoon they had more animal visits.  Wednesday The campers got to meet one of our counselor's rabbits this morning. Midmorning we had a special visitor, Mrs. Duncan, who taught us what it is like to adopt a dog from a pet breeder. She also taught the campers about puppy care. In the afternoon the campers painted their clay animals and then had another round of animal visits.  Learning all about Rabbits! Grinding Gears with Engineers

Welcome, Engineers! It has been a busy week here at Grinding Gears! Monday Monday was car day. The campers made clothespin cars, had car races, and got to design and build their dream cars.  Clothespin Cars Building Car Ramps Tuesday Tuesday was bridge day. The campers got to design and build bridges.  Paper Bridges Recycled Bridges Wednesday Today was STEM challenge day! The Senior campers competed to see who could make the tallest tower out of spaghetti and marshmallows. The Juniors built towers out of STEM materials (marble mazes, lincoln logs, Magna-tiles...). In the afternoon, the Seniors did the egg drop challenge while the Juniors learned how engineers have to be puzzle solvers. They used pattern blocks to help them practice with their puzzle solving.  Egg Drop Challenge Pattern Block Challenges! Building Stations Thursday Today the campers got to design and build a city! In the morning the campers planned out the blueprint of t
